Jus got a few confusing links - one says Ikea is currently close for 'samak' procedure.. another says its halal through its spokesperson En. Roslan..
since ikea's meatballs are everyone's fave - i thought id like to share this to the readers out there. At least one blogger took the initiative to inquire about the sijil (despite its unavailability to public's eyes)...
Anyways for whatever it says: only Jakim will have the last say whether its Halal or not. at least one thing we get to find out for good if we can actually eat the meatballs or are they just the same as they are like any other Ikea's the rest of the world.
One thing confuses me though: Why is the sijil Halal not publicly shown? why the discrepancy? what are they hiding? hmmm...... and the questions goes on and on...

Baru sebentar tadi, Yan call Ikea 03-77267777 sendiri dan tanya pasal status sijil halal meatballs, sebab terlalu ramai yang kata Haram dan ada jugak kata halal, tak puas hati terus sahaja buat panggilan ke ikea dan bercakap sendiri dengan En.Roslan.
Merujuk kepada perbualan kami tentang status Ikea Meatballs yang dikatakan haram, En.Roslan berkata bahawa produk tersebut adalah halal dan mempunyai sijil halal dari jakim. Ikea Meatball menggunakan produk dari Malaysia.
En.Roslan juga berkata, Ikea Meatball memang tidak memaparkan logo/sijil halal, tetapi sekiranya pelanggan ingin melihat sijil halal tersebut mereka akan bersedia untuk menunjukkan kepada pelanggan, dan ada orang tertentu yang akan membantu pelanggan untuk menunjukkan sijil tersebut.

Ura-ura yang mengatakan Ikea Foodcourt ditutup hari ini memang betul, tetapi ianya bukanlah dari produk Ikea Meatball, tapi dari 1 produk lain di Ikea Foodcourt, dan atas tindakan berjaga-jaga/berhati-hati mereka terus menutup Ikea Foodcourt dan menyamak tempat berkenaan.
