Cat Boarding cruelty news ;-(

Hi all.
im so distraught over the cat cruelty news swarming our FB & media regarding this Cat Boarding house called Petknode Boarding centre. It seems so inhuman for doing so to these animals. Sadly greed has caused so much to harm to these poor innocent creatures. what have they done to deserve such torture? i hope the owners of the Petknode boarding gets what he deserve; either here or after life.

Anyways to summ up- these cats are originally owner's pets and been send for pet boarding for the hari raya festivities. The PCB (Petknode cat boarding) operates online shop & offers bookings for pet boarding in affordable prices from RM3.99 to RM13.99. Most owners away from holidays booked for long period of time without realising the "too good to be true deals".

How it arose suspicious of these wrong doings?
When some pets were returned in bad shape & owners decided to investigate further led to the boarding house location where most of the cats 300+ boarded were found; abandoned in cages for 9 days, dehydrated & traumatised. The saddest part-  16 died (including kittens & nursing mothers). Omg.. teribble right. im so cursing the PCB owner! i hope he rott in hell!..
read on for more...

The news below is from Jacqueline Thien and some other rescuer-friends who have alerted me within the last hour. Please proceed to the location to help if you are near.
Hi Dr,

I'm helping Kucing Terbiar Anjing Jalanan to ask for your help to post on your blog and urge those who board their cats at Petknode to collect their pet immediately at Balai Polis Sg Pelong Paya Jaras.

Owner of the boarding premise no way to be found, more than 90 cats inside the pet shop, 9 kittens/cat were found dead, some alive were thrown outside of the shop ,inside a carrier..some were missing.. Location of Petknode is at Damansara Damai (from KTAJ facebook info). KTAJ needs more volunteers to help in shifting the pets too, they are short of volunteers now..

For more info, pls read at KTAJ facebook page :

Thank you very much for helping, Dr..lets hope every owner finds their cat..

Regards:
Jacqueline

Some screenshots received:

I'm in phone contact with Maslinda and Bella (of KTAJ). I've offered our subsidy for the cats who need immediate medical attention. For the sake of saving their lives, the sick cats ought to be send to the vet immediately.

Maslinda just sent this photo of another dying cat:

According to information received, the owners had left food supply for their pets, but the cats were not fed. Some owners are still overseas right now, and pleading for help to rescue their cats.

It is confirmed that 9 cats/kittens have died. The owner of the boarding house has been located already. Some of the cats are currently at the police station.

Will update more.

Updates at 3.20pm - I have contacted our vet at Kinrara. He may have a sporo case so he can only take 3-4 cats and would need physical help with cleaning the cats, etc.

Our Subang vet can also help, but only at 8.30pm tonight.

Meanwhile, the rescuers have located a nearer vet.  I hope they are now sending the cats there. We'll pledge for the expenses for now so that the cats can be treated first. We hope the owners will take back their cats as soon as possible.

Kitty talk

Do you have pets at home? Or do you want to get pets? Is litter the reason being not to have them? I personally think hygiene is most important when you have pets in the house. Even with pets around you, i still believe clean hygiene is possible. Scrap all those conventional saying having em' & messing around the house or the litter boxes.I think that relates to how we train them. And think most important is we want to keep up the hygiene in the house.

Do you know cats are among the cleanest animal of all animal creature? That explains their fur licking habits all times kann?? Amazingly my cats gets all excited and happy every single time we mop the house (their turf especially),  throw their litter & give them fresh water + food... so who says they're sloppy & messy?

So anyways here's among the best auto litter boxes i found on internet. Quite handy and convenience for us pet owners. I guess these keeps us out of scooping and the smelling.. keeps us all cleaned.... hehe me like!

Calculate the age of your cat in human years

Nowadays cats tend to live longer - the average life-span of  a 21stcentury cat is estimated at between 10-15 years. There are many contributing factors, including better diet, care and medical advances. Cats mature very early. After one year they are fully developed and have reached sexual maturity. So you could say that the childhood of a cat is very short when compared to humans. Indeed the first two years of a cat's life is when the relative age difference between humans and cats is geatest.
Using the form below you can compare your cat's age to relative human years. Remember that this conversion is only an approximation; but it is a useful tool to help you understand the physiological changes which your cat undergoes as she ages.

Meet Lil Mischika..

Here is our new addition to the family.....Hehehe see how cute &; adorable she is..

Btw her name was inspired by the famous brand badgley mishka hehehe. but we call her Chika.  She's only almost 2months old and a Himalayan persian breed

here's more info on her origin breed hehe

Himalayan (cat)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. The Himalayan cat is a breed of long-haired cat identical in type to the Persian, with the exception of its blue eyes and its point coloration, which were derived from the crossing of the Persian with the Siamese. In Europe they are referred to as Colourpoint Persians.
While the Himalayan is considered a breed separate from the Persian by The International Cat Association, it is grouped together with the Persian and Exotic Shorthair (shorthaired version of the Persian) under a "Persian Breed Group standard". The Cat Fanciers' Association considers the Himalayan a color variation of the Persian rather than as a separate breed, although they do compete in their own color division.

Body Type

A seal point Himalayan
Like Persian cats, the Himalayan cat tends to have a round (cobby) body with short legs, which makes it harder for them to jump as high as other cats do. Some do have more of a Siamese like body, though, and can jump as high as seven feet.
The cat shown in the photo is most likely a Birman. A Himilayan normally has the facial characteristics similar to the Persian, which is a flatter, wider face with "squashed" features. The Birman breed exhibits a muzzle shape more in line with the Siamese.

The feline was born normal but developed appendages at age 1, family says

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a … cat?
A kitty in Chongqing, China, is getting some extra-special attention these days: The furry feline has developed wings! Though born looking completely normal, once the cat hit the age of 1, he began growing wing-shaped appendages on either side of his spine, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reports.
While some think the bony limbs may be a mutation of some kind — or even a Siamese twin growing inside the cat — others speculate it’s a genetic change perhaps caused by chemicals ingested by the kitty’s mother while she was pregnant.
According to the cat’s owners, he doesn’t seem to mind his new wings — and he’s loving the attention he’s received because of them!
Strange as the case may sound, winged felines are not unheard of. Back in August 2008, the U.K. Telegraph reported that tomcats in China’s Sichuan province developed wing-like growths on their backs.
Veterinary experts said then that despite the hard inner core, the “wings” don’t harm cats’ quality of life or safety. According to the Telegraph’s report, scientists believe the appendages developed due to grooming habits, a genetic defect or a hereditary skin condition.
