Things to look for when buying New Home
Buying a house is one of the biggest decisions in the life of any person. Apart from the huge amount of money involved in the deal, a lot of feelings such as happiness, pride and joy are associated with buying a home. So, it is very important to be fully aware of what to look for when buying a house for the first time. The checklist for buying a house mentioned in the succeeding paragraphs will help you to understand the concepts better.
Important Things to Remember While Buying a Home
What to Look for When Buying a House: Affordability
While buying a house, either for living or for an investment purpose, you should think on whether it is affordable for you or not. Though real estate investment gives handsome returns in the long run, you should not stretch your finances beyond the limit as doing so can affect your lifestyle and day to day needs.
What to Look for When Buying a House: Location
Location is one of the most important things to look out for while buying a new house. Those people who are buying a home for the first time should be more careful about this aspect. You should choose a location which is not too far from the city but at the same time provides you with all basic amenities and privacy. You should take into consideration other important things such a proximity to health centers and hospitals, parks, retail shops etc. while buying a new house.

What to Look for When Buying a House: Returns on Investment
Whether you are an end user or are interested in buying the property, purely for investment purposes, you would definitely want the property to give you good returns if you plan to sell it in the future. So, if you buy a home in a renowned project which has many ultra-modern facilities and in a good locality, then you would surely get good return on the investments in the years to come. You can take help from real estate agents and property experts while choosing the property. You may like to read more on return on investment.

What Type of Coffee are you?

It can sometimes be daunting walking into a coffee house and seeing the long list of coffee varieties and drinks on the menu. What’s the difference between a latte and an Au lait? How does a cappuccino differ from an Americano? We’ll try to make it all clear for you below:
Americano: A single shot of espresso with about 7 ounces of hot water added to the mix. The name for this coffee drink stemmed from an insult to ‘uncouth’ Americans who weren’t up to drinking full espressos.
A Shot in the Dark: See ‘Hammerhead’.
Black coffee: A drip brew, percolated or French press style coffee served straight, with no milk.
Cafe au Lait: Similar to Caffe Latte, except that an au lait is made with brewed coffee instead of espresso. Additionally, the ratio of milk to coffee is 1:1, making for a much less intense taste.
Cafe Breva: A cappuccino made with half and half milk, instead of whole milk. The theory is that the mix gives a richer, creamier flavor. You should be aware, before trying this for yourself, that half and half is much harder to foam.
Caffe Latte: Essentially, a single shot of espresso in steamed (not frothed) milk. The ratio of milk to coffee should be about 3:1, but you should be aware that latte in Italian means ‘milk’, so be careful ordering one when in Rome.
Cafe Macchiato: A shot of espresso with steamed milk added. The ratio of coffee to milk is approximately 4:1.
Cappuccino: Usually equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and frothed milk, often with cinnamon or flaked chocolate sprinkled on top. Some coffee shops will add more milk than that so that the customer will get a bigger drink out of the deal, but that makes the coffee itself far weaker.
Double, or Double Shot: Just as it sounds, this is two shots of espresso mixed in with the regular amount of additional ingredients. So, for example, if you were going to make a double hammerhead, you would put two shots of espresso into a coffee cup, and fill it with the drip blend, rather than the usual single espresso shot.

Types Of Coffee – Coffee Varieties IIEspresso Con Panna: Your basic standard espresso with a shot of whipped cream on top.
Flavored coffee: A very much ethnic tradition, syrups, flavorings, and/or spices are added to give the coffee a tinge of something else. Chocolate is the most common additive, either sprinkled on top or added in syrup form, while other favorites include cinnamon, nutmeg, and Italian syrups.
Frappe: A big favorite in parts of Europe and Latin America, especially during the summer months. Originally a cold espresso, it has more recently been prepared putting 1-2 teaspoons of instant coffee with sugar, water and ice. The brew is placed in a long glass with ice, and milk if you like, turning it into a big coffee milkshake.
Hammerhead: A real caffeine fix, this drink consists of a shot of espresso in a regular-sized coffee cup, which is then filled with drip coffee. Also known as a Shot in the Dark, although many cafes rename the drink further to suit their own needs.
Iced coffee: A regular coffee served with ice, and sometimes milk and sugar.
Indian (Madras) filter coffee: A common brew in the south of India, Indian filter coffee is made from rough ground, dark-roasted coffee Arabica or Peaberry beans. It’s drip-brewed for several hours in a traditional metal coffee filter before being served. The ratio of coffee to milk is usually 3:1.
Instant coffee (or soluble coffee): These grounds have usually been freeze-dried and turned into soluble powder or coffee granules. Basically, instant coffee is for those that prefer speed and convenience over quality. Though some prefer instant coffee to the real thing, there’s just no accounting for taste.

Civet coffee has a well-deserved reputation for being mellow, full flavored and lacking in bitterness. In fact, since bitterness is one thing that turns many people off of gourmet coffee, the fact that civet coffee has little to no bitterness is something which makes it highly sought after.
Preparing kopi luwak, is not difficult. You want to make sure that the beans are not being roasted in an overly heavy manner. This is because it can destroy the delicate flavors that have developed as part of the digestive process. Once you have properly roasted beans, they can be ground and brewed much the same as a standard cup of coffee.
Kopi Tubruk: An Indonesian-style coffee that is very similar to Turkish and Greek in that it’s very thick, but the coarse coffee grounds are actually boiled together with a solid piece of sugar. The islands of Java and Bali tend to drink this brew.

Macchiato: (See Cafe Macchiato)
Melya: A coffee mixed with 1 teaspoon of unsweetened powdered cocoa and drizzled honey. Sometimes served with cream.
Mocha: This popular drink is basically a Cappuccino or Latte with chocolate syrup added to the mix. Sweeter, not as intense in coffee flavor, and a good ‘gateway’ coffee for those who don’t usually do the caffeine thing.

Ristretto: The opposite of a Lungo, the name of this variety of coffee means ‘restricted’, which means less water is pushed through the coffee grounds than normal, even though the shot would take the same amount of time as normal for the coffee maker to pull. If you want to get technical, it’s about a 0.75 ounce pull.Soluble Coffee: See Instant Coffee.
Turkish Coffee (also known as Greek Coffee): Made by boiling finely ground coffee and water together to form a muddy, thick coffee mix. In fact, the strongest Turkish coffee can almost keep a spoon standing upright. It’s often made in what’s known as an Ibrik, a long-handled, open, brass or copper pot. It is then poured, unfiltered, into tiny Demitasse cups, with the fine grounds included. It’s then left to settle for a while before serving, with sugar and spices often added to the cup.
Vietnamese style coffee: A drink made by dripping hot water though a metal mesh, with the intense brew then poured over ice and sweetened, condensed milk. This process uses a lot more coffee grounds and is thus a lot slower than most kinds of brewing.
White coffee: A black coffee with milk added.

friday makes me "HAPPY"
I Loooooove friday is here! yayyyy loves loves weekend is coming. mood blues pon semakin kureng. yela anyone will definitely be happy when there is 2 days of sleeping mornings ahead. hohhohohooh...
nways sempena mood yg "ke-cerian" ini- i thought wana share some readings i found in the net about BEING HAPPY. honestly speaking; its not an easy job to be PURE HAPPY OR HONEST with ourselves when comes to happiness.
Many of us are CONTENT in our very own COMFORT ZONE. thinking we're happy & all bla bla.. but of course we cant lie to ourselves about being NOT-HAPPY. cos HAPPINESS lies within us. not something we can falsify or pretend to own beings. hehe try la pretend everything is fine - and DENY. Someday i guarantee an eruption of lava (all years of pendam haaaa) . however, what i fear most - is the CHAOS and VICTIMS as result from those UNHAPPINESS.

The feline was born normal but developed appendages at age 1, family says
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a … cat?
A kitty in Chongqing, China, is getting some extra-special attention these days: The furry feline has developed wings! Though born looking completely normal, once the cat hit the age of 1, he began growing wing-shaped appendages on either side of his spine, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reports.
While some think the bony limbs may be a mutation of some kind — or even a Siamese twin growing inside the cat — others speculate it’s a genetic change perhaps caused by chemicals ingested by the kitty’s mother while she was pregnant.
According to the cat’s owners, he doesn’t seem to mind his new wings — and he’s loving the attention he’s received because of them!
Strange as the case may sound, winged felines are not unheard of. Back in August 2008, the U.K. Telegraph reported that tomcats in China’s Sichuan province developed wing-like growths on their backs.
Veterinary experts said then that despite the hard inner core, the “wings” don’t harm cats’ quality of life or safety. According to the Telegraph’s report, scientists believe the appendages developed due to grooming habits, a genetic defect or a hereditary skin condition.

Cat Boarding in Klang Valley and Selangor

Since we have joined- the pet cat hip; i guess this is good info for all those cat lovers out there; adopters; owners & etc. The places below are highly recommended for those who wana make sure their pets well taken care off while they're away...
P/s: err another Option B: to get cat sitter? haha
Posted below by pawsible at 10:47 PM
At some point most of us cat lovers will need to go on a holiday where kitty can't come with us.
Options for kitty when you're away on holiday
So who takes care of kitty if family and friends can't be convinced to babysit?
Scallywags Malaysia
3, Jalan SS1/1B, Kampung Tunku, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
I think this is the best cat hotel in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. It's got a really homey feel to it. The cattery is in the lush green garden of the owner's bungalow house. So rest assured that there's always someone to keep an eye on the cats in case of emergencies!
They've got rooms for 2 cats, 1 cat, and even 1 "kampung house" fit for 5 cats! The garden facing room for 2 cats is especially nice because it has multiple floors and nooks and crannies for cats to explore or hide. Each room has a chair, rug, sisal scratch post, a few toys, and even a little fan! The owner, Liz, has a certificate from the Feline Advisory Bureau, a UK organisation which sets benchmarks for feline wellbeing, including hygiene standards at catteries.
This place gets booked up very quickly during festive events (Raya, Christmas, Chinese New Year), so make sure to book ahead.
The downside? Well, the only thing is that the cats get fed dry food only (IAMS, Royal Canin, Orijen...). So no raw meat or canned food during the holidays for kitty...
Pet Epicure
16, Jalan Bandar 2, Taman Melawati, Selangor
This is a pet shop / pet boarding / pet rescue centre. So it definitely DOES NOT fall under my general rule to not leave kitty at a pet shop during my holidays. The owner, Alicia Horsley Ling, is really passionate about animal welfare that some of the rescued cats are actually boarding at the shop. But please, please, don't throw away your cats here just because Alicia has a soft spot!
What I like about the place is that they feed a raw meat diet for their boarders.
And apparently, the cattery is built to FAB standards - complete with sneeze barriers to prevent transfer of disease.
Options for kitty when you're away on holiday
So who takes care of kitty if family and friends can't be convinced to babysit?
- Leave kitty to fend herself - I've seen this happen often, and I think it's heartless. I would never do this to my babies.
- Leave kitty plenty of food and water - OK but perhaps only for a few days
- Leave kitty plenty of food and water in an automatic dispenser - Better option than number 2, especially if kitty can't control food intake. But only good for 3-4 days. If it's longer than that, somebody needs to come in once in a while to take care of the poo stench if kitty's an indoor cat. And to check for food and water supplies.
- Leave kitty at the pet shop - I've seen this at many pet shops. The kitties look like they've been drugged to sleep.
- Leave kitty at the vet's - Hmm... better than number 4. But it would be like leaving your baby in hospital while you're on holiday. Imagine kitty being surrounded by other sick cats!
- Cat boarding aka cat hotel aka cattery (not the breeding centre type) - Now we're talking! A holiday home :)
